- Mark your calendars for the BWA Expo, our annual information exchange and networking event, on
September 23.
The Experts Sessions will close very soon, so we're mostly just taking names for alternates; please contact Mary Headley for more information.
- BWA has started lunch-time "schmoozes," networking opportunities for BWA members and friends, on the first Friday of the month. The next lunch (pay your own way) is scheduled for noon on September 5 at Turley's. Contact membership @ bwa.org to RSVP or for more information.
- BWA has initiated a low-cost ($15) volunteer membership option just for students. Any currently enrolled student pursuing a degree in an accredited institution may join BWA by filling out the online membership and specifying the Student Volunteer Membership option. Student applicants will then be contacted by the BWA Membership Chairperson to arrange for a suitable volunteer assignment and introductions.
- BWA volunteer needs include Programs co-chair, Internet Committee co-chair, Volunteer chair, and Database Adminstrator co-chair. If you are interested or need more information, please contact president at bwa.org or the current committee chairperson. Volunteers are also needed to update some of the pages on this Web site. - The BWA discussion e-mail list has been opened to nonmembers
to encourage a wider interchange of professional ideas, so spread the word among your colleagues.
